ERASMUS+

One or two semesters studying abroad can easily be organized via the ERASMUS+ program of the European Union. The application formalities are manageable and there is financial support. For general information about the Erasmus program, please visit the website of the Rostock International House (RIH) of the University of Rostock. All necessary documents and application forms as well as the Students Charter can be found here.

The Institute of Political and Administrative Sciences has partner institutions in the Netherlands, France, Italy, Spain, Finland, Norway, Estonia, Denmark, Poland, Hungary, Romania and Turkey, which offer course programs in English or German. For more information on our partner universities see cooperations. Reports from former Erasmus students are available on the sides of the RIH.

Since 2012, an intensive cooperation with the Universidad Nacional de la Plata (Argentina) was resumed. In this context, study and research by students and lecturers take place between both universities. As part of a promotion by the Argentine-German university center also a binational doctoral program is being established. More information can be found here.

In case of interest please first contact the departmental coordinator at the Institute, Prof. Dr. Jörn Dosch (room 147) in order to apply for a specific exchange site. This should be done at least one semester before the intended stay abroad. Due to the growing interest in the ERASMUS+ exchange it is strongly advised to inform yourself as early as possible since the capacity is limited. The concrete application deadlines may vary depending on the partner university.

Please consult the departmental coordinator about your specific program objectives and the "Learning Agreement”, which ensures the recognition of your studies abroad for your further study program in Rostock. The course program offered by the partner universities can be found on the relevant pages of our partner universities. Final contact is the Rostock International House where you submit the application documents and get all relevant signatures. You also have the opportunity to promote an internship abroad through the ERASMUS+ or other programs. More information can be found on the pages of the RIH.
