Autocratic Tendencies in Argentina under Javier Milei
Dienstag, 11. November, 17 Uhr Raum 324
What autocratic tendencies are present in Milei's government? What historical conditions have made them possible? What social resistance is emerging in the face of these autocratic tendencies? President Javier Milei has declared his intention to “destroy the state from within” and to build a form of personalistic power. This lecture explores the autocratic tendencies emerging within Milei’s government, examining how they appear in political institutions, discourse, and policy decisions.
